You know.....you do the best you can do.....and for some people it is NEVER enough. We have a client that we have been working with for years on her child support. We filed an attachment in August for her ex to be picked up with a cash bond that would apply to his child support arrearage.
Well....unbeknownst to us the Sheriff's department for that city voided that attachment - didn't bother to tell us and now our client is mad at ME - saying I lied to her - have been lying to her all along - man - that really hurts.
I've called our sheriff's department - they have a record of the attachment being sent to the other sheriff's department. I called the other sheriff's department and the officer I talked to said he would call our sheriff's department and get them to fax a copy of the order and if the ex was at the place of employment we had listed they would go pick him up. I checked back with our sheriff's office and they did indeed fax a copy of the order to the other department.
I'm ready to call it a day. I don't think I can talk to this woman again without either using a bad word or just breaking down in tears.
I mean - this is not my fault. I'm not the attorney. I can't just snap my fingers and make things happen.
Oh well. I think today I'm the one who needs to look for inner peace - I really need to find it - really bad.
