THINGS ARE GOING FROM BAD TO WORSE - MUCH WORSE

This is just horrible - those poor, poor people - they are just laying down in the streets and dying - old people, babies - just dying and help is not getting to them in time.

I know that help is TRYING to get there - there are 12 tractor trailers full of water coming from Knoxville alone, but it just doesn't seem to be working fast enough to save these people.

Being diabetic myself, I can empathize with those without insulin and pills to control this disease.  And the people with terminal illnesses without their pain medication - God help them.

There was a story on the news last night about a mother trying to board one of the busses to go to Houston.  She handed her 4 year old up the bus steps to a woman already on the bus and when she tried to board, she was pushed back and down and the bus left with her baby on it.  A very kind state trouper took her and her other child (and their little dog) to Houston in his own patrol car to see if they could find the baby.  I haven't heard if they did.  God help her.

The pictures are heartbreaking.  So many people.  And these are people who COULDN'T evacuate - had no WAY to evacuate - HAD to ride the storm out - and now they have nothing but the clothes on their backs. God help them.

There are bands of outlaws, armed with stolen guns, taking over the city now - spreading terror, looting, raping, hungry with power.  God help them.

All those people traveling to Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama bringing supplies, medical help, and some semblence of order.  God keep them safe.

I talked with a lady in Utah this morning who said their gas prices are $3 a gallon.  Our gas is now an average of $3.30 a gallon here.  Atlanta is still $6 a gallon.

God help us all.  I know He will.

Peace
