Saturday night - sometime - my room fan died. I woke up - really really hot - like tropical sauna hot - so I get up and turn on our central air conditioner. It was about 3 a.m..... okay .... when my alarm went off at 7:45 the first think I noticed was that I was still hot - okay - I get up and go outside and lo and behold - my central air had frozen solid.....POOP. So I turn it off. Now usually we run the air during the day and turn it off and night and run our room fans - and the house stays at about 70 degrees - perfect for us. Now I KNOW that I've got to have a fan - I run that fan year round - even in the winter. So after I get off work at DW - here we go to WalMart to get a fan - easy - one would think so huh - NOT SO NOT SO.
The selection was - uh - two fans: one was $35 and had three small fans one on top of the other and it lit up - okay - it lit up. Don't need a fan that lights up.
The other one was a "tower" fan - $30...oh and it had a LED screen and a remote. When did life get so technical?? Okay - had to have a fan - so I opted for the "tower". When I took it to check out I was pleasantly surprised to find it was "on sale" for $27.95.
Now one would think that a "tower" fan would just come out of the box, plug up and "fan".......OH NO NO NO. It had to be "assembled" - POOP.
Would you believe it took me 20 freaking minutes to assemble the "tower" fan? Well it did. Trouble is it IS a tower so when I set it on the table at the end of my bed - the air kind of flows "over" me - but I CAN feel it and I slept fine so - there you go.
Well that happened on Sunday - today is Monday - what happened today???? Hmmmmm - had rehearsal tonight - I did go to work today - I'm blocking that from my memory - and my doctor called me in a prescription for some more Ibuprofen - which seems to help me more than anything for my neck and shoulder - which are, by the way, much much better. I have two more therapy sessions scheduled and I think that will be it. My boss says "give it 30 days to make sure I'm okay" which I will 'cause he IS theexpert in this case.
