Well - this is a first for me - and nothing I'm proud of believe me. I was sent home sick from Dollywood for the first time in 5+ years. It was embarassing! I mean - nobody made me feel like a "nudge" - but still - it was the first time I was NOT able to do my job and it sucked.
I probably shouldn't have tried to work today - I had a "bug" last week that sort of "took it out of me" but when I got up this morning I thought "I can do this". But after 2 hours out in the heat and humidity, I couldn't - plain and simple.
So here I am at home on a Saturday afternoon - wow. The temps are supposed to fall by next weekend so hopefully I will get back in the "swimg" of things.
My little finches by the way - and going to worry me to death. Yesterday before I left the office I put in fresh water and noticed one of the little females (I think it was Betsy) down on the bottom of the cage all "hunkered up" and not looking too good. Great - I really didn't want to loose another one so quickly after loosing Betty Lou. I stopped at the office on my way to DW and both females were in the nest, bright eyed as could be. Well.... hope they are both okay on Monday.
