DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH AOL JOURNALS - WOULDN'T "SAVE" MY POSTS - RATS!!!

Okay - gonna try this AGAIN.....I have tried to post faithfully but for some reason known only to AOL - my journal would NOT save my posts.

Nothing spectacular has happened in my life since my last post - just working - a little sleep - more work - laundry - more work, etc. etc. etc.

Early this morning something weird happened - about 2:00 a.m. I heard the birds having a "fit" - thought it was one of the cockatiels having one of their "night frights" (yes - they do have those).  Things quieted down, and I ALMOST stayed in bed - but then I had this funny feeling - so I got up, turned on the dining room light and RAINY WAS OUT OF HIS CAGE AND HANGING ON PETEY TWO'S CAGE!!!  I totally freaked out - Rainy is VERY hard to handle and I just knew I would have chunks taken out of my hands and would be dripping blood by the time I got him back in his cage.  Well - all that aside, I could tell he was also totally freaked out so I offered my hand for him to get on and HE DID - for about 3 seconds and then he flew - right to SAM'S cage - not a good thing at all - and landed on the door of Sam's cage.  Now - Sam is notorious for biting the legs off another bird that landed on his cage (this was before I got him) so now I am REALLY crazed - so I grabbed some article of clothing - not sure what it was - wrapped Rainy up in it and quickly tossed him back in his cage and shut the door - WHEW!  He didn't bite me - I don't think he even thought about it - and no one else got hurt.  Thank you God!!!!

Worked the Parade of Lights at DW this weekend - and 8 hours in parking.  The parade is nice but I was a spotter for a float and had to walk backwards the whole parade route - my knees just can't take that so I hope they don't ask me to do that again - I hate to tell them I can't do something, but it takes 800 mg of ibuprofen just to walk it and my knees are sooooo sore.  Parking is fine - EVERYONE I worked with - both in parking and the parage were super nice to me and I know they appreciated the help.

Okay - I'm pooped - got a full week of "other work" ahead of me so I'm going to bed.
